Established Patients
Established Patients

On October 1, 2018 I left Northern Virginia Surgical Specialists to transition to practicing breast surgery on my own. The 19 years with my partners was rewarding and helped me solidify my desire to specialize entirely in breast surgery.

I am excited to resume my clinical practice of breast surgery on November 5th in partnership with Galaria Plastic Surgery & Dermatology. Existing breast patients are welcome to seek their long term follow up care with me. My main clinical office will be located in the Haymarket Healthcote building and I also will see patients in our Chantilly office.

Time Gap in my Practice
While transitioning my breast surgery practice, I will not be in clinical practice during the month of October 2018.

“Exisiting Patients” are patients that have seen Dr. Williams in the past or were under his active care with his prior practice. Most of these patients have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. Other patients deemed to be at “high risk” for breast cancer generally see Dr. Williams periodically. If you feel you are an “established patient” please feel free to make a follow up appointment with Dr. Williams when you were previously advised to see him. This is usually after your screening mammogram.

  1. We will mail existing patients a “recall letter” one month before their planned follow up office visit as I have in the past. This letter will include all the new practice and contact information you will need.

  1. You may also receive an email before this letter arrives as a reminder of your previously recommended follow up appointment. We will use your last email we have on file.

Simple Example:

If you were planning a follow up appointment to see Dr. Williams in August 2019, you will receive an email in July 2019 and shortly afterwards a follow up letter from my new practice. The email and letter will provide you all the information you will need to schedule this appointment with Dr. Williams.

  1. If you think that you have not received a follow up email or letter as expected, please reach out to Dr. Williams’ new office and leave a message regarding your concern. We will do our best to address it.

If you have a new breast problem, it is important that you seek evaluation by a breast surgeon without delay. Your health and cancer outcome will be harmed by a significant delay in diagnosis or treatment.
